Federal Firearms License Transfers

FFL Transfers Made Easy

Generally, for a person to lawfully transfer a firearm to an unlicensed person who resides out of State, the firearm must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) within the recipient's State of residence.

SOS LLC can facilitate the transfer of incoming firearms for eligible customers: US citizens with a valid Virginia Driver’s License or VA DMV ID card and proof of current Virginia residency of 30 days or longer.

Once your transfer has arrived to SOS LLC, please allow 24 hours to process your transfer.  Once your transfer has been processed we will call to arrange pick up.

SOS LLC makes it easy for a buyer to complete the purchase in the local area, opening up the world wide web of deals for the firearms deal hunters.

SOS LLC charges a nominal fee for providing this service. In addition to the fees listed, the FFL holder may be required by law to collect sales tax, background check fees, or other transfer-related fees.

We recommend that you contact SOS LLC before placing a bid on or purchasing an item to verify the complete cost of the transfer, to verify the legality of the item, and to make sure you qualify to pass any required background checks.

We also recommend before you decide to buy a firearm, that you contact us to see if we can save you money. Many times we can get you a better price, because we can help save the FFL transfer and shipping fees by ordering the firearm direct.
